Signaquin 200mg tablets is a malaria therapy and preventative medication. It is also used to treat autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. Hydroxychloroquine is a DMARD (disease-modifying anti-rheumatic medication). Signaquin should only be used after consulting with a doctor because it is not recommended for those with certain medical disorders, including G6PD deficiency. Signaquin is nothing more than a generic form of Plaque nil.

Working

Signaquin (hydroxychloroquine) has long been used to treat arthritis and lupus. It raises the pH of the cells and changes processes such as protein breakdown. Its anti-rheumatic activities are due to interference with antigen processing in cells. In terms of malaria, hydroxychloroquine prevents the malarial parasite from entering and infecting the cells. The medicine prevents the parasite from invading red blood cells.
